2026 Race Calendar
Race #1: Ascutney Outdoors and Ascutney Trails
Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to our first race of the 2026 season on Saturday, August 22! This course at Ascutney Outdoors + Ascutney Trails and will offer a variety of fun and flowy descents, great single track and double track for passing opportunities, and a bit of climbing to earn all that fun downhill!
Camping available on site, available for purchase on BikeReg. Portable toilets will be available on site.
Burgers and dogs for purchase thanks to Brownsville Butcher and Pantry!
Race #2: Burke Cross Country (XC)
Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to our second race of the 2026 season on Saturday, September 12. Burke Mountain will host a full weekend of racing with this XC event on Saturday, following by an Enduro-format race on Sunday.
Camping, lodging, and food available on-site for a full weekend of racing with VTYC.
Race #3: Burke Enduro
The third race in our series, and the second day of racing at Burke, will be in the ENDURO format. The course will include three timed segments in which the downhills counts and riders have the chance to test their technical skills against other riders. Cat A riders will do an additional segment, for FOUR total segments.

Race #4: Woodstock Mt. Peg Enduro
Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to our fourth race of the 2026 season! This race will be ENDURO FORMAT. What does that mean? The course will include three timed segments (4 for the Cat A riders) in which the downhills counts and riders have the chance to test their technical skills against other riders.

Race #5: Catamount Outdoor Family Center
Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to race #5 at the Catamount Outdoor Family Center!
This event is being hosted the same weekend as Green Mountain Cyclocross and we hope many youth/families will stay for the weekend and give cyclocross a try! GMCX will host a skills clinic Saturday afternoon, after the conclusion of our races. Camping available on site. Spend the weekend!
All riders will recieve a maple creemee from UnTapped Maple!
Race #6: Craftsbury Outdoor Center
Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to our FINAL race of the 2026 season on SUNDAY October 18. This course at Craftsbury Outdoor Center will offer a variety of fun and flowy descents, great single track and double track for passing opportunities, and a bit of climbing to earn all that fun downhill!
Routes will be finalized in the weeks leading up to the event. Check out last year's Course Maps Here to get a sense of what the courses might look like.
Spring Scrimmage at the von Trapp Resort
We're excited to kick off the riding season with a scrimmage at the von Trapp Outdoor Center! This is an opportunity for youth riders to try racing in a fun, supportive, and low-stakes environment. This is also your chance to test your fitness and skills heading into summer! Ride 1, 2 or 3 laps of the 5k course. The race is hand-timed, prizes for all!
Race #5 at Craftsbury Outdoor Center
Our final race of the season will be held in Craftsbury, VT.
Race #3 at The Kingdom Trails
Our third race of the season will be held at the Kingdom Trails in East Burke, VT.
Race #2 at Cochran's Ski Area: Enduro
Our second race of the season will be an enduro held in Richmond, VT.
Race #1 at Ascutney Outdoors +Ascutney Trails
Our first race of the season will be held in Brownsville, Vermont.
Women and Girls! Attend the skills clinic with Kelly Catale and Rachel Cohen on Friday from 3-7. Dinner included. Camping available on-site at Ascutney Outdoors!
Cochran’s Ski Area
The enduro course will include three timed segments (4 for Cat A riders) in which the downhills counts and riders have the chance to test their technical skills against other riders.
Following the individual podiums, the top five racers and top three teams overall series results will be recognized and overall series champions will be named.

Kingdom Trails
This course at Kingdom Trails will offer a variety of fun and flowy descents, great single track, and a bit of climbing to earn all that fun downhill! Magil Field also offers incredible views and is a lovely place to spend the day spectating and tailgating in one central race location. Join us at Kingdom Trails and Ride With Gratitude

Stick around for a movie night and pizza party co-hosted with VMBA at Pentangle Arts.
Additionally, VTYC will host youth and family rides at the VMBA Member Party at S6 on Sunday. Make it a weekend!!

Ascutney Outdoors & Ascutney Trails
Our season kicks off this year in July, with a cross country race on the climbs and descents of Mt. Ascutney. This year’s new summertime race is a sure bet to test your mettle and dial in your program for the fall race season.
